Sometimes you sign up for an event. Sometimes you accidentally become part of history. On May 30th, Marvin's More Than had the opportunity to be part of Tulsa's Route 66 Capital Cruise, a celebration of the 100th anniversary of Route 66 and an attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the largest classic car parade ever. The goal was ambitious. The previous record stood at 2,491 classic cars. Tulsa didn't just break it. Tulsa absolutely smashed it. When the final count was announced, an incredible 3,596 classic cars had successfully completed the parade route, setting a brand-new Guinness World Record and putting Tulsa in the history books. And we got to witness it firsthand. Throughout the day, thousands of people lined Route 66 as classic cars rolled through town. Everywhere you looked there was chrome, polished paint, rumbling engines, and generations of families sharing stories about the vehicles passing by. It felt less like an event and more like a celebration of everything that makes Route 66 special. One minute you'd see a perfectly restored muscle car. The next minute you'd see a family treasure that's been passed down through generations. And then another. And another. ...
