What’s up, Saucester Squad!
Let’s be real for a second…
Some days you want to cook.
Other days you want to barely participate and still eat like a champion.
Today? We choose chaos with minimal effort.
SPICY SWEET GARLIC MEATBALLS
(These bad boys go in the slow cooker… get hit with a tag team of flavor… and come
out loud and saucy!)

For the meatballs:
▶ ⅓ cup honey
▶ 2 tablespoons standard soy sauce or tamari
▶ 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
▶ 3 cloves garlic (minced)
▶ 1 ½ teaspoons garlic powder
▶ 1 ½ teaspoons onion powder
▶ 1 teaspoon rice vinegar (apple cider vinegar works as well)
▶ ½ teaspoon toasted sesame oil
▶ ½ teaspoon MSG (optional, but recommended)
▶ 1 Tbsp cornstarch + 1 Tbsp cold water for thickening slurry
▶ 28ish oz fully cooked, frozen meatballs
▶ Salt and pepper to taste
▶ Sesame seeds and thinly sliced green onions for garnish (optional)
(If you want things extra saucy, double the sauce ingredients)
Instructions:
▶ In your slow cooker, mix together Da Ruckus, Little Sauce of Horrors, honey,
soy sauce/tamari, hoisin sauce, minced garlic, thickening slurry, rice vinegar,
sesame oil, garlic powder, onion powder, MSG, salt, and pepper.
▶ Add the meatballs and toss to coat with sauce.
▶ Add the meatballs and toss to coat with sauce.
▶ Cook on low heat for 3-5 hours, stirring occasionally.
▶ Optionally, garnish with sesame seeds and thinly sliced green onion.
That’s it! You’ve officially cooked without cooking!
How to eat ‘em:
▶ Toothpicks = party mode
▶ Over rice = dinner mode
▶ On a hoagie roll = dangerous decisions mode
▶ Straight outta the slow cooker = kitchen goblin mode
Pro Move:
Hit ‘em with an extra drizzle of sauce right before serving.
Because restraint is overrated…
Final Warning:
These will disappear fast… and someone WILL ask who made them.
Take the credit…
We won’t snitch.
